KATHMANDU, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed after a passenger SUV car carrying a wedding procession met with an accident in Nepal's western Salyan district on Saturday evening, said a police officer.
While three people were killed on the spot, one died during treatment. The vehicle carrying 18 people including the driver fell off the highway leading to the fatal accident.
"Fourteen of the injured, of whom five are in serious condition, are receiving treatments in hospitals," Devraj Bhattarai, spokesperson at the district police, told Xinhua. The police suspect overload could have led to the accident, though they are still investigating the cause. ■
