SINGAPORE, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.09 percent or 2.8 points to close at 3257.57.
A total of 1.47 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.14 billion Singapore dollars (about 833.5 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 188 to 167.
The STI index closed down 0.8 percent or 26.1 points to close at 3254.77 on Wednesday. Enditem
