SINGAPORE, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went down 0.54 percent or 17.83 points to close at 3,307.15.
A total of 1.74 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 835.3 million Singaporean dollars (about 614.19 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 237 to 153.
The STI index closed down 0.11 percent or 3.62 points to close at 3,324.98 last Friday. Enditem
