Xinhua selects China pictures of the year 2019

Guan, 51, an experienced obstetrician, has volunteered to provide medical service in Bingzhongluo Township since March 2017. To reach the villages that are linked without highways, Guan and her colleagues had to walk to these villages while shouldering medical equipment with baskets. She has trekked over 300 times on the steep, narrow mountain paths to treat people in 46 villages.
